A little prep helps make your session smoother and your tattoo heal better.

Before your appointment:

• Keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, or any broken skin in the area being tattooed.
  
  
• Avoid drugs or alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
  
  
• Get a good night of sleep and eat a full meal beforehand.
  
  
• Stay hydrated and don’t skip breakfast, since low blood sugar can make you feel lightheaded.
  
  

On the day of:

• Shower beforehand and wear clean, loose clothing that won’t rub against your new tattoo.
  
  
• Bring water or a snack if your session will be longer.
  
  
• Give yourself enough time and avoid scheduling anything right after your appointment.
  
  
• Bring valid photo ID, as it’s required for all tattoos.
  
  

If you’re sick, on antibiotics, or your skin is irritated, please contact the studio to reschedule until you’re fully healed.

Appointments are always encouraged, especially for larger or custom tattoos, since they allow you to choose the artist, time, and date that work best for you. 

We do accept walk-ins whenever our artists have openings. You’re always welcome to stop by, but availability cann’t be guaranteed. If you’d like to come in the same day, we recommend calling the studio to find out if we have an artist available.

Everyone experiences pain differently, and what feels uncomfortable to one person might barely bother another. Mild to moderate discomfort is normal, but most clients say the experience is much easier than they expected.

Tattooing and piercing have come a long way over the years. Modern equipment, new techniques, and numbing cream has made the process much smoother and less painful than it used to be.

A little nervousness is normal, but don’t let it stop you from getting the tattoo or piercing you want. Our artists are steady, experienced, and focused on making the process as comfortable as possible. They’ll walk you through what to expect, explain which areas can be more sensitive, and go over simple ways to manage discomfort if needed.
